We’ve been seeing large categories of northbound Gray Whales, occasionally as many as 8 in the group, lots of Typical Dolphins and beautiful Risso’s Dolphins almost every trip. We have additionally had the occasional sighting involving Humpback whales and Terminal whales. Overall, this is a wonderful time to be whale watching from San Diego!
What is the best time of the year to view whales?
Gray Whales usually begin showing up off of San Diego on their southbound migration around mid to be able to late December.
